Teaser Tuesdays – July 7, 2009
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
“Would you kill all your answers so easily, gunslinger?”
“Come down,” the gunslinger said. “Answers all around.”

Hi Michael! I love this book! I’ve read it years ago since I was big on Stephen King back then. Have you browsed the graphic novel? It’s wonderful too. The novel translates well into graphic fiction.

Hi Peter, that makes perfect sense – while I was reading it, I thought to myself that it would work well as a graphic novel.

That’s a great teaser…I haven’t read much Stephen King, but I love to watch the movies based on his books!

Hi Jo-Jo, thanks for the comment.

I haven’t read this book. From the title I was hoping it might be a new Western. Don’t get many of those – new anyway. But if it’s Stephan King it can’t be a Western.

Hi Margot, no, this is not a recent novel – it was released back in 1982. But it is a Western – sort of. It has s elements of a Western, mixed in with sci-fi, fantasty, horror. Well, I’ll be putting up my review of it shortly.

I haven’t read the Dark Tower series since 8th grade! I loved that series.

Hi Kelly, glad to see you stopped by. By the way, I went to leave a comment on your teaser from “My Name Is Will”, but I received this message: “Error: please select the correct humanizers”

I haven’t read Stephen King a long while. I’ve got several of his books staring at me, waiting patiently on my shelf.

Hi Stacy, this was one of the books I picked up last week while walking through my local used book store.

I read this book eons ago. I think I read Book 3 of the Dark Tower series and finally gave up. Me and King do not have a good relationship. Hope you enjoy this and I’ll be looking for your thoughts.

Hi Jennygirl, I’ll be posting my thoughts on The Gunslinger soon.

I’ve never read a Stephen King book – I have seen a few movies though. I was more of a John Saul fan while growing up – although I did have to put those books in another room while I slept.

Hi Karoline, The Gunslinger remarks will be coming shortly.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever read a Stephen King book; in fact, the only movie/series I’ve seen adapted from his books was “The Stand.” So maybe that should be rectified, eh?
Meanwhile, my own teaser (I keep typing “taser”!) is at Bookishgal.

Hi Phyl, I don’t think I ever saw “The Stand”. I barely remember the book, read that a long time ago.

Sadly I am not a Stephen King fan. Could never get into his books. A great teaser just the same.

Sounds good. Wonder what the answer is?

I’d have to say the gunslinger fibbed – there were not a lot of answers in this book. But then there are thousands of pages left in the Dark Tower series…
