Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

“Would you kill all your answers so easily, gunslinger?”

“Come down,” the gunslinger said. “Answers all around.”

Hi Michael! I love this book! I’ve read it years ago since I was big on Stephen King back then. Have you browsed the graphic novel? It’s wonderful too. The novel translates well into graphic fiction.

Hi Peter, that makes perfect sense – while I was reading it, I thought to myself that it would work well as a graphic novel.

I haven’t read this book. From the title I was hoping it might be a new Western. Don’t get many of those – new anyway. But if it’s Stephan King it can’t be a Western.

Hi Margot, no, this is not a recent novel – it was released back in 1982. But it is a Western – sort of. It has s elements of a Western, mixed in with sci-fi, fantasty, horror. Well, I’ll be putting up my review of it shortly.

I haven’t read Stephen King a long while. I’ve got several of his books staring at me, waiting patiently on my shelf.

I read this book eons ago. I think I read Book 3 of the Dark Tower series and finally gave up. Me and King do not have a good relationship. Hope you enjoy this and I’ll be looking for your thoughts.

I’ve never read a Stephen King book – I have seen a few movies though. I was more of a John Saul fan while growing up – although I did have to put those books in another room while I slept.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever read a Stephen King book; in fact, the only movie/series I’ve seen adapted from his books was “The Stand.” So maybe that should be rectified, eh?

Meanwhile, my own teaser (I keep typing “taser”!) is at Bookishgal.

Sounds good. Wonder what the answer is?

Michael Reply:

I’d have to say the gunslinger fibbed – there were not a lot of answers in this book. But then there are thousands of pages left in the Dark Tower series…
