What’s On Your Desk Wednesday? is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Sassy Brit of Alternative-Read.com .
Here are the rules:
You can do one of two things or both.
1. Grab a camera and take a photo of your desk, or anywhere you stack your books/TBR pile. And no tidying! Add this photo to your blog. Tag at least 5 people, and then return to Sassy Brit’s blog and leave a link back to your photo in the Mr. Linky.
2. List at least 5 BOOKISH things on your desk. List at least 5 NON BOOK things. Tag at least 5 people to do the same. Return to Sassy Brit’s blog and leave your link, so everybody can come and visit your blog.

Your desktop looks pretty clutter-free! Are you going to review Life of Pi? I can’t say it was one of my favourite books (which is a polite way of saying I didn’t like it much at all!). I’d be curious to hear what you thought of it.

Hi, funny thing is, I haven’t read “Life of Pi” yet. It is still in my TBR pile, but I used it earlier today to make a sidebar image for Sheila over at Book Journey. But I will be doing a review after I get to it.
And that is Donna’s blog on the screen – I took the photo just after clicking on her link in my comment.

Well, I’d say it’s at least partly due to my smeared computer screen – nothing like the flash of a camera to make you realize it isn’t quite so clean. Paper towel usage probably goes up a little every Wednesday afternoon.

I love this meme! I’m so nosy that I’m always curious about people’s desks. Good to see Life of Pi on there. I read it a few years ago, and after about page 80 I couldn’t put it down. (Clearly you did, though! At least long enough to take your photo…)

Hi Peter, I also have a netbook that I bring into the office to back up files to the external hard drive, and the one drawback of netbooks for me is the pointers/trackpads – so I use a mouse whenever I can. Other than that, it has been great, and I have been getting a lot of mileage out of my little white Ideapad.

I tried to check out Sassy’s site and ie wouldn’t let it load. It kept locking up on me. I will try again in foxfire. My desk photo is ready but no place to go.

I use Firefox with the NoScript and AdBlock addons (among others), and some blogs are loaded with things that neither like. But I had no problem with Sassy’s site.
