I can't wait for your review on Salem's Lot. I really love this book and, so far, most of the people I've recommended it to liked it as well. Regarding the latest Salem's Lot adaptation, it's not as good as the first one, which came out in the 1980s. Although I've heard that the latest adaptation somehow stayed truer to the novel. I even think Stephen King gave it his blessing, which I find weird. King's later works (those which he wrote in the 1990s until today) don't hold up to his earlier works. I guess that's why I had a Stephen King phase during my high school years. Lately, his attempts to go "literary" somehow has affected the horror elements of his novels. I don't know it it's a good thing or not, but his more recent fiction don't have the bite I've come to expect from him. Oh well, here I go again. Rambling and ranting...
