Here is a selection of screenplay for December’s portion of the Words Behind The Pictures reading challenge. Click on the movie image to get to the related screenplay.

These are stories that take place at Christmas, but they are not necessarily Christmas movies – violence and strong language make a few of these not quite so friendly for family viewing. I can still remember my disbelief when I was sitting in the theater and saw a woman bring three young children in to see Bad Santa. At least she got up a few minutes into the show after realizing it was a completely inappropriate movie for them.

Michael,
Just to let you know the book arrived this morning. Please email me the address you would like me to send it too. The book has some white paint marks on it, did it have that before you sent it. There are not a lot, but I thought I better let you know.

You are giving us FIVE choices this month? Oh boy. Decisions. Since I’m sure others will pick It’s a Wonderful Life, I’m going to go with Lethal Weapon. I could use a Mel Gibson fix.(Not as good as a George Clooney fix but -) Oh, yes, I’ll concentrate on reading the screenplay. Mel will be my inspiration.

We’ve missed you in the blogosphere, Michael. But I’m glad you are here when you have the time. Family is the most important part of your life so I understand when you are gone. Thanks for sponsoring this challenge. I’m having fun doing it – well, except for the spooky October thing. And thanks for all the screenplays. If I have time I may read an extra one.

It’s getting late in the month for me to commit, but I was planning on watching It’s a Wonderful Life and reviewing for my blog anyway, so I may have time to read the screenplay too. We’ll see.
I agree with MArgot. We’ve missed you :)
